Marianthi Lainas: Hilbre from the Dunes

Most of my images are made within a mile or so of my home and this is a view across the Dee Estuary from the Wirral peninsula to the hills of North Wales.  The long, low island on the right is Hilbre Island, one of my favourite places, a hidden gem that it is possible to walk to from my home at low tide.  Some beautiful evening light on the dune grasses shows off the Estuary at its best.
